🐎Family Newsletter 9/11

Happy Friday, Highland Lakes Families! 💜💛

We had another great week with our Mustangs! [Click here to read this week’s Family Newsletter] for upcoming events, reminders, and a peek at what’s happening at Highland Lakes.

🎯 Our Weekly Goal: Evidence, Evidence, Evidence!

One thing we are working on across Highland Lakes is helping students prove their thinking with evidence in every subject. We want our Mustangs to go beyond giving an answer and explain how they know! Small moves at school + small moves at home = BIG growth for our Mustangs! 💜

You can reinforce this at home by asking:
📖 Where in the text did you find that?
➗ What evidence from your work proves your answer?
🔬 What did you observe that supports your conclusion?
💬 What makes you say that?

🪪 Grandparents Day Remnder — Remember Your ID!

For the safety of our students, all visitors must bring a valid, physical photo ID to check in for Grandparents Day.
Please note that expired IDs and pictures/photos of an ID cannot be accepted. Be sure to bring your physical ID with you so we can get everyone checked in and enjoying lunch with their Mustang as quickly as possible! 🐎💜💛
Thank you for helping us keep Highland Lakes safe!

Have a wonderful weekend! 💜💛
